Welcome to Shift Change, our monthly rundown of what's new on the L2L platform and what it means for you.
This May, we're focusing on two things:
-
Making Execution AI feel like a natural part of the way your team actually works
-
Continuing to refine Dispatch so time on the floor goes to solving—not sorting—problems
From collaboration upgrades and cleaner data controls to new Production Solvers, here's what L2L users can look forward to in May.
L2L Execution AI
Optimizing user experience with Execution AI
A powerful engine only helps if it fits the way you actually work. Based on feedback we’ve received from early adopters over the last month, we’ve focused on making Execution AI faster, more organized, and most importantly, more collaborative.

Key Release Highlights:
- Instant Dispatch Analysis: Directly ask Execution AI questions to analyze data across all open and closed Dispatches. Get instant clarity on machine impacts or top priorities.
- Clarify the Solve: Want more detail after running a Solver? Just ask. Now, you can ask follow-up questions to clarify the next action to take.
- Dictate Your Question: Simply speak your follow-up questions to get more clarity. It's seamless, fast, and hands-free so you can stay focused on the shop floor.
- Better Chat Organization: As you use more Solvers, your history grows. You can now “Star” your most important conversations or recurring analyses. If you want to run a specific Solver every morning at 7:00 AM, it’s now pinned and ready for you.
- Site-Wide Sharing: One of the biggest questions we heard was, “I built a custom Solver that works perfectly. How do I get my team to use it?” Admins can now create custom Solvers and push them out across the entire organization, so the tools that work best for your site work everywhere. (See how here.)
Coming soon: New production-focused Solvers
Three new pre-configured Solvers are rolling out to plant managers, supervisors, and team leads in May. If you use L2L for production, keep an eye out for these new Solvers:
- Site Health Solver: Provides leadership with high-level visibility into plant performance
- Area Health Solver: Helps supervisors better coordinate technician support and prioritize high-need areas
- Line Health Solver: Surfaces gaps between actual and target performance, helping teams maintain steady production rates
Additional enhancements and updates
Optimize your workflow with the New Dispatch look & feel
We’ve introduced significant updates to how Dispatch looks and feels to provide a more intuitive and efficient experience for managing daily operations. These interface enhancements streamline navigation and visibility, ensuring that critical data is front and center without the clutter.
What this means for you:
- The modernized layout enables faster data entry and better readability.
- Missed required fields are now clearly highlighted in red, helping you catch form errors instantly.
- We improved screen optimization to easily enter and submit Dispatches with mobile devices.
- We fixed an issue that prevented the keyboard from covering dropdown menus on mobile.
These enhancements eliminate friction, ensuring your data remains accurate and your mobile experience is seamless.
Faster and more responsive Calendars
We’ve overhauled our calendars to make scheduling faster. Whether you're looking at the Resource or Production Calendar, everything now looks and feels the same across all calendars.
What this means for you:
- View calendars in full screen for better visibility
- Quickly drag-and-drop to reschedule events
- Find what you need instantly with modernized filters in the sidebar
- Views now auto-refresh when filtering
- Saved filters are still here and work just like before
This update is just the beginning. By moving all our calendars to the same system, we're building the ability for you to eventually see every piece of your planning info in one single place. Stay tuned for more!
Never miss an update with Sub-Asset Notifications
We’ve improved how you stay informed about your equipment by expanding notifications to include Sub-Assets. Now, when a ticket is created or updated for a specific component of a larger machine, the right people are notified immediately.
What this means for you:
- Get targeted alerts by subscribing to notifications for specific Sub-Assets, ensuring you see the updates that matter to your area.
- Improve response times and get notified when a Sub-Asset needs attention.
- Eliminate guesswork with granular notifications.
Empower specialized teams with the Assessor Role
We’ve introduced the Assessor role as a dedicated user permission to streamline how skills are managed and validated. This role allows specific team members to oversee the entire skill ecosystem without requiring full administrative access.
What this means for you:
- Designate skill experts to create and manage Skills, Learning Activities, and Job Titles.
- Assign multiple Assessors to a Skill Profile for faster, single-approval verification.
By empowering subject matter experts to lead the assessment process, you reduce administrative bottlenecks and ensure skill data remains accurate.

Set clear expectations with Skill Level Definitions
Standardize your evaluation process by defining unique, level-specific criteria for every skill in your library. Instead of guessing what Intermediate looks like, both Assessors and Operators now have a clear roadmap for every stage of development.
What this means for you:
- Define unique requirements for all five expertise levels on a per-skill basis.
- Access Detailed Assessment Criteria directly within the assessment drawer.
- View level descriptions during self-assessment to help gauge progress.
Providing clear expectations for every skill level eliminates ambiguity, helping your workforce understand exactly what they need to achieve to reach the next milestone.
